    Rider Hunt International is a project controls consultancy, having been established for over fifty years and with a focus on Oil and Gas and re-measurement activities. An opportunity for a  Quantity Surveyor has arisen to provide our client based in Surrey with strong measurement experience. You will join our current team, reporting to the Lead QS and liasing with the client's  team.  This is an immediate permanent vacancy .

    Responsibilities

    The main focus of the position involves untaking the following responsibilities and duties

    • Reviewing engineering deliverables MTO’s, specifications, model dumps and generating BOAQ’s, SOR’s and preambles
    • Interrogation of engineering data to determine completeness / quality
    • Generation of commercial clarifications
    • Measurement and re-measurement activities, take off from drawings.
    • Civils, mechanical, construction and E and I disciplines preferred

    Qualifications

    • Degree qualification preferred (ideally having achieved chartered status)
    • Sound experience of quantity surveying and measurement
    • Demonstrable client site experience
    • Proven team player and capable of leading and motivating a QS team within RHi or client’s office
    • Sound IT skills in MS Word, PowerPoint and Advanced Excel data manipulation skills
    • Utilise and coach staff in Client applications appropriately as part of service delivery
    • Advanced analytical skills and ability to follow structured approach
    • Takes responsibility and leads continuous improvement
    • Ability to drive company policies and procedures and apply to Operations as appropriate
    • Coach and develop other staff members
    • Excellent communication skills, having the ability to sustain close client contact
    • Excellent report writing skills
    • Leads change and the implementation of processes
